So sad, I spent lots of time with Bill. He introduced me to this forum many years ago. Plus had many good hours with him on Sunday nights at North Shore Aero Club. He only lives about 1km from us, went to his house often loved seeing the Vampire that was stored in his Garage. He was a very kind hearted bloke and very generous. He loved coming to our place to see our two little girls years ago. Unfortunately we started to loose contact with him when our eldest daughter became ill. But Bill being Bill came to her Funeral, that meant a lot to us. RIP Bill clear skies.

I have met Geoff in the past at various Air Force Assn meetings in HB, he was a Nav in Lancasters with 101 Sqn. A top bloke, sad to hear of his passing but a great innings.
From the AWMM:
Geoffrey Wallace Bibby was called up for service in 1941, and served with the New Zealand Field Artillery, in 1943 he transferred to the Royal New Zealand Air Force. While in the UK with the Royal Air Force, he met his future wife Beryl Roberts, a Lance Corporal in the ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service), they returned to New Zealand together and had three children, a son and two daughters.
In the 1950s Bibby retuned to the UK and rejoined the Royal Air Force where we worked with the Air Defence. When he returned to New Zealand he taught at Hereworth School, Scots College and the Woodford House college. Member of the Napier RSA.
