Special thanks to Chrissie, Elaine and staff at the Rita Angus Retirement Village, Wellington in helping us through this time. A service for Molly was held on Monday 3 July.

My condolences to forum member Wally Hicks on the death of his father Owen. I had the privilege to meet Owen and interview him, a really nice gentleman. He was an electrician with No. 14 Squadron in the Pacific during WWII.

I approached Madge last year to see if she would be interviewed about her wartime experiences, as she lives here in Cambridge and I know her son (or maybe step-son) Peter, who's also a veteran (Malaya). Sadly she declined to talk.

Stan Knighton was an Engineering Officer and was MFC 75 Sqdn in the late '70's. I think he got out after his Air NZ Resident Engineer stint at Harewood in the early '80's. He formed a hydraulic hose company with Barry Watts but I haven't heard of either for some time. Another character missed.. Stan was my dad and started a company hydraulic installations and services mid 1980s. It was bought by Scarlett hydraulics about 15 years later. Barry watts made my father's funeral last year after being very sick and driving all the way to blenheim. Barry died about 2 weeks later and I was very gutted. I also worked at the hydraulic firm for 17 odd years.

Burgess Graham NZ41869 on 21/7/17. Graham served as a pilot on 7 squadron RAF Bomber Command . A foundation member of the NZBCA and its predecessor Pathfinders ASS Graham was one of the many MAGS boys who served with BC.
