I just heard that Les Larsen, the NZ Warbirds hangar manager at Ardmore, has passed away. Always a friendly and helpful chap when I have visited there. RIP Les.

RIP Clive Woodward Estcourt NZ391045 Bomb Aimer with No. 75 (NZ) Squadron and No. 7 Squadron PFF Clive passed away this morning, aged 99.9, just weeks away from his 100th birthday. He spent the first half of the war as a signwriter at RNZAF Station Ohakea before retraining as a Bomb Aimer. Clive's funeral is to be held on Tuesday 22nd of August 2017 in Matangi (near Hamilton).

I assume the Trevor Page referred to above is the Trevor Page who owned Page Plating in Taradale and who owned many aircraft over the years including, I think, Chrislea Ace ZK-ASI. I'm unsure if Trevor is still with us>

Hi Peter, Yes, an impressive and diverse array of aircraft. More recently, perhaps a decade ago, Trevor owned a homebuilt biplane, although I cannot recall what type.

Sorry to hear about Ken Windsor. He was one of my instructors at Auckland Aero Club. He took me for my PPL Flight test on 23rd March 1964 in PA18 ZK BQQ. The last time I saw him was around 1990 at North Shore when he invited me to address a Commercial Pilot class he was teaching to talk about agricultural flying. A great person.
