Walter Wagtendonk Interment of Ashes Wal’s family are holding a graveside ashes burial service at the Marsden Valley Cemetery in Stoke, on Saturday October 6th at 11am. There will be a get together and refreshments afterward at the Nelson Aero Club rooms at Hangar 4, McLaren Dr, Nelson Airport. Details will also be put into the Nelson Mail and Christchurch Press soon as there are many old friends in Nelson, and his clients throughout the South Island who couldn't get to the Tauranga service. He finally found the finish line after a great run. Devoted husband of Wilma (deceased) and loved father of Roberta and Paul, father-in-law of Geoff and Janne. MONK, Enid (nee Stevens): Of Levin. Ex WAAF 1672. On 10 September 2018 (peacefully) at Reevedon Home, Levin, aged 101 years. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of the late Bob Monk. Much loved Mum and mother-in-law of Sue and Allan McDonald (Auckland), and Helen and David Cole (Moutoa). Loved Granny of Duncan and Renee, Anita and Alistair, Cameron and Lisa; and Hannah and Steve. Proud Great-Granny of Tyler, Carter, Lewis, Charlotte and one as yet unborn. Grateful thanks to the staff of Reevedon Home for their wonderful care of Enid during the past 2 years. In accordance with Enid's wishes, a celebration of her life was held at her 100th birthday party last year. Having lived over a century, Enid happily blew out her candles in the loving presence of her family and friends. This is now being followed by a private cremation. Husband to the late Joan and brother to the late John and loved father to Dave and Jane, Jan, Tony and Steph and the late Peter Jnr. A much loved grandfather to Tony, the late Nicky, Dylan, Laura, Nik, Grace, Kaelin and Riley and great- grandfather to William, Fallon, Autumn and Johnny. He will be missed by all. Died peacefully after a lengthy incapacitation with dementia. Many thanks to the staff of Bupa Beachhaven Hospital who provided wonderful care over the last few years of his life. No flowers please. Ivon Warmington will be remembered fondly by students who attended the 'Wanganui Commercial Pilots School'. A Fantastic instructor pilot and friend. Gordon Dennis passed away peacefully at BUPA Tararu Care Home (Hospital) on Thursday 20 September, 2018, at the age of 96. Husband of the late Isa Dennis, Gordon is the loved brother of Kathleen Horwood and much loved Dad of Christine Dennis and husband Paul Cavanagh. Loved Dad of the late Graham Dennis, Gordon will also be sadly missed by Graham's children Hayley and Nathan and their children, respectively Lachie, Maddy and Josh. The family thank Gordon's enduring friend Sheryl McKay and the staff at Tararu Care Home for their care of him in his last days. A service to celebrate Gordon's life will be held at Twentymans Grahamstown Chapel, 102 Kirkwood Street, Thames, on Friday 28 September at 2pm, followed by refreshments in the Wesley Lounge of St James Union Parish Church. Dennis ( Gordon) He trained at 8 B&G School at Lethbridge ( Canada) in early 1944 , followed by air experience with 24 EFTS. In UK he went through 6 AOS at Staverton in late 1944, to 11 OTU and was posted to 75 Squadron on the Daly crew in June 1945. His service will be in Thames on Friday 28th
