Cherished and loving husband of Emie Frost. Citation Distinguished Flying Cross (15 Sep 1942): [185 Sqn RAF (Spitfire)] This officer has displayed great courage and outstanding keenness. His example at all times, especially when the odds were great, has been of the best. He has destroyed four, probably destroyed two, and damaged seven hostile aircraft. During the Battle of Britain flew with 234 and 603 Sqns RAF (both Spitfire) and 421 Flt RAF (Hurricane). Later flew from Malta. Member of the ‘Caterpillar’ and ‘Goldfish’ clubs; injured on being shot down with 421 Flt on 27 Nov 1940, baling out over the sea. CO 185 Sqn RAF (Hurricane/Spitfire) May-Jul 1942. Bob flew Halifax bombers out of Egypt and India. Best known for topdressing out of Gisborne and Napier; Tiger Moth, Loadstar and DC3. Also Air Central and Fiji Airways Suva, before retiring in Eumundi/ Cooroy area QLD.
Dearly loved husband of Eileen. Much loved dad to Mark, Michele, Shaun and Dana and adored "grump" to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation service for Bob Friday 17 June 3pm at Newhaven Funeral Parlour, 21 Quinns Hill Rd W. Stapylton, Queensland.

Bob with Lodestar BUV, probably Napier and celebrating his 90th birthday with wife Eileen at Cooroy 15/02/2014. I am heading up to Brisbane for the service on Friday. He trained many pilots, especially on the Lodestar and DC3. A real gentleman. RIP Bob.   |

passed away after short illness in Yepoon, Quensland on 10 June 2016. Funeral will be held in held in Yepoon Thursday 16 June.
Neville was a Snr Supplr and latterly Air Load Master on 40 Sqn serving 21 years and retiring 1976.

Jim was a Navigator with No. 489 (NZ) Squadron on Beaufighters and Mosquitoes. I had the pleasure to meet and interview him in Whangarei, and then again caught up with him when he came to Ardmore for the Mossie event. Great guy, RIP.
