HI there,
Just a query to all the Auckland locals. We are travelling up from ChCh for the show and was wondering if you have any recommendations on accommodation and wheres best to aim for. I guess ease of travel to Ardmore etc.

The closest townships to Ardmore are Papakura and Takanini but I would imagine you might be pushing it finding accomodation there now as I know a lot of people have already booked motels there.

Right, regarding the Forum Meet, I am now closing off any further applications to come because I feel we have over capacity now anyway. If you feel you want to plead a genuine case to come, please email me.
All those who have registered have been sent an email with information. (that is, the people who have emailed me with the details - the people they have said are coming with them have not received the email from me as I don't have their contact details.
If you have registered and you have not received the email, please let me know asap.

Got the email... well done Dave on your organising skills  This will be an awesome day. Let us hope that the Saturday weather is up to the job and they don't decide to move the display day to Sunday! I will be taking my car to the Subritzky from Hamilton (unless I get a better offer) with just me in it... room for 3 more. PM me if anyone wants a lift from Hamilton  Pete |

I have heard from a few people now that it is unlikley that the mossie will be flying (engines have not yet been tested, etc). I am booked for the dinner as well. Has anyone heard anything more concrete? Well, according to some people, Tim Wallis' P-51 Mustang was never going to fly in time for the Wigram Wings and Wheels in January 1985 - yet I was there on the day it took its first post-assembly test flight and again on the day of the Wings and Wheels display.  Just sayin' |

If you choose to listen to uninformed gossip, then add to it by spreading it as rumour, then you're a part of the problem, and I for one would prefer you simply shut up! |

This pdf file was sent by Ardmore Airport Ltd to all tenants of the airfield today, but I have gained permission from Niqui Taylor who distributed it to post it here too, for the information of members.
