Well, Jetstar is booked and we've had a very generous offer of accommodation, so all we need to do is arrange a rental car and buy a map!
With all these somewhat frantic arrangements being made for what promises to be an historic event, it had occurred to me that someone who knows might pick out a quiet spot at Ardmore in which we can inter Dave should it not fly!

Why blame me? My information (as usual) comes direct from official sources with permission gained to post it here. It is not from the rumour mill. I have shared it now so you can all prepare and not have a last minute rush. If the aircraft does not fly on the day, that will have nothing to do with me. And in fact that is one reason why the decision has been made to have the Forum meet the day before at Don's place, for those travelling long distance they will at least get something from their journey - exactly the same as we had the Ohakea Forum Meet the day before the Ohakea airshow - in case the weather had packed in and there was nothing on the Saturday we still had a unique and brilliant Friday. In the end both days worked out perfectly at Ohakea, and hopefully they will for the Auckland weekend too.

Going to Duxford for the airshow on 7/8 September and Cosford for LLA/BBMF airshow 30 Sept with lots of museums in between

That's such a shame you're away Don, Calum and Errol. You'll miss the airshow ofthe century.

Not wanting to hijack the thread here, does anybody if the Mossie will be flown or shipped to the States when complete?

Well done Dave for organising this forum meet. To maybe also see the Mossie flying will be a exciting as one can tell from the buzz on this forum. Dale and I might be able to also help out with a couple of spare beds, but we both live in West Auckland which is about 40 minutes drive to Ardmore, and probably about the same to Dairy Flat. Family and friends better book in quick !!
