We're coping with this news so far but if there're any more changes it may well result in a bout of lying on floor & drumming heels while making strange noises. ;D Thanks for the heads up Dave, I appreciate its out of your hands. Steve. Zac, early flight on the Saturday, you're home & hosed.

Steve you are to go to the naughty room do not pass go do not collect $200! ;D Yeah its not your fault Dave and its not intentional on their part just one of those things. I've changed flights and emailed the motel (I think because its a few months away its an easy fix) All I have to do now is change my leave dates at work and hey presto its a done deal.

...! Me, wife, and stepson all booked on Jetstar for original date. Jetstar change of fare fee more than doubles cost to over $700. Can't afford that. Looks like we'll miss the show by a week. To coin a phrase: "Here lies Edmund Blackadder - and he's bloody annoyed"...

Pretty bad when all you are doing is changing dates, its not like you are asking them to bolt extra seats in an A320 or anything. I had to grin and bear the $100 fee Air New Zealand charged me for the privelidge.

Hi all, in another existence I fly Stan Smiths Dragon on scenic (Air Transport) flights from North Shore Airfield.
Dave has kindly allowed us to advertise seats in the Dragon from North Shore (Dairy Flat) to Ardmore and back on the day of the Mosquito show.
Current plan is to fly down before the show and return that afternoon, mechanical and weather gods permitting (times TBC).
At present there are 5 seats available in each direction at $85 per seat (Round trip $160), (We are happy to have people fly/drive seat swap with one another and will do our best to facilitate this).
We can also offer scenic flights from North Shore on the Sunday after (or during depending on interest and duration of the meet) the forum meet. These are $60 per seat for 20 minutes airborne in the local area.
You can contact me here via PM or email/call the Smiths directly on vintageaircraft@xtra.co.nz/09 426 3735.
Thanks
Andrew

A request from the Mosquito First Flight team, of which I am a volunteer member:
If you are planning to travel by car to the the Ardmore Mosquito event, either from around the Auckland area or from further afield around the country, would you consider helping us to get a Mosquito veteran or veterans to the event please? We would like to get as many along as possible if we can both for the flying display in the dayrime and the Honour Dinner on the evening of the 29th of September. We realise some veterans will not be able to drive the distance or afford to fly from other cities. If you have a spare seat in your car would you please consider offering it to a veteran to help transport them to and from the event? You could be their minder for the day and have a very memorable car trip with lots of stories and nostalgic memories, and you could make a veteran extremely happy on a day that neither of you will forget.
If you can assist with a veteran car pool, please contact me by email at dave_daasnz@hotmail.com and we'll buddy you up with someone if there are veterans in your area or that you can pick up on the way. We have a list of Mossie vets all over NZ, so the chances are good. The only consideration for you is that if the veteran intends to attend the Honour Dinner at Ardmore you might have to buy a ticket and go with him - which would not be a bad thing either!
