True! She tows quite nicely with a set of 6-ply tyres and operative brakes but even if I drove the Lewis Pass, I don't think it would be a fun thing to do. If I drove a big diesel thingamy I'd tow it to Blenheim but with the Honda its pretty much flat-track stuff for me.

Al, you need my Durango, 2009 5.7L V8 hemi, only 45k NZ, plus shipping from the UAE....it does get about 12 miles to the USG...so is economic not....but the torque..oh the torque

Damn it can people stop saying stuff about the Mk XIV, it is killing me! For me, unquestionably, seeing the Fw190 displayed, then the Anson, then the Pitts Model 12. I missed out on Masterton so make it a good one Ryan.  We're bringing the baby (compared to the 12!) Pitts up Thursday at this stage. Looking forward to another great long weekend. Gav, I look at that 190 shot, and just think, damn, still can't believe that was taken in NZ. |

Andy you're so right about th 190, we are so lucky to have the S.H.'s only flying Butcher Bird! Hoping she takes off right past the crowd at some point over the weekend to get some good shots of her.

Anyone interested in a day trip to Classic Fighters on Saturday? I have 2 seats avail in a C172RG, leaving CHCH Airport at 0715, returning Approx 1900hrs.
