I only made it on Saturday due to the poor weather early in the morning on Sunday preventing us flying in. It was well worth the trip though - a fantastic show with many memorable displays and great photo opportunities. Glad the weather did eventually clear up on Sunday for those who went on that day as well.

Thanks for the pics guys, it making me extremely jealous, since I'm stuck on the wrong side of the Tasman this year and wont make it back to any NZ airshows But the positive is I will always be able to live these airshows vicariously through all the amazing pics you keep putting up here

I have just been catching up on this thread and all the wonderful photos people have been posting. Wow, what an airshow. Definitely one of the best shows ever. What a season this has been, just amazing. The formation teams - all of them - did so well over the weekend, and especially so on Friday when the wind was gusting up to 30 knots and yet they managed some spectacular team efforts. The six jets together were a stunning sight. The three jet fighters wth the Mosquito were an awesome treat. The three SE5a's together in close quarter looked great in the sunshine. The Harvard team and the Yak team were excellent as usual. But the formation that blew me away was the Mosquito, two Spitfires, two P-40's, the Mustang and the Corsair. The sight and sound were simply amazing and will never be forgotten.
Thanks to Bruce Scott for his wonderful hospitality over the weekend, and to Tom and Liz and the team who put the show together. Thanks to Warren and the Avspecs gang for another great round of memorable moments. Thanks to Bill and Robyn Reid for the taxi and engine run in the Anson, what a beautiful machine that is. Thanks to all the pilots, the ground crews and support staff who keep em flying, especially the Superair staff who I noted were busy all weekend long driving up and down the flightline refuelling the aircraft for their next act. And the marhalls (many of them RNZAF officers and officer cadets I noted).
Thanks to the excellent and friendly Wings Over Wairarapa volunteers and staff, thanks to the weather gods for eventually playing ball, thanks to Aniti McKenzie who looked after us at the school, thanks to those who showed up to the forum meet (sorry John and I were a little late and missed some of you). Thanks to Tui and all the people who worked hard on that dinner last night. Tui actually tastes so much better down there in its home county, perhaps it doesn't travel well, or maybe the Tui up here is Auckland brewed? Thanks again to Warren and Shona for a nice way to finish off the whole Mossie roller coaster last night with the winddown drinks in the bus. It was nice to be part of that.
Many thanks to Ando for the unsolicited plugs for this forum over the weekend, that was quite special mate! And thanks to all the forum members who came and said hello over the weekend, it is nice to see people from here in person, and nice to feel appreciated.
I have many photos which I still need to go through, and more besides. I will get some rest and then get them sorted soon.

OMG the photos on here are just amazing! This was the best airshow I have ever been to. The atmosphere was fantastic. I think the photos capture it nicely. A bugger I could only go to the Saturday show, looks like the weather was better on Sunday!
