Baz... you would have hated it Pete Yeah...no Auster aerobatic team. ;D Yes that large formation with all the WW2 fighters and the Mosquito leading the pack must have sounded fantastic (let alone look amazing!) Glad to see you had a great time Dave!

Thanks for posting those photos Bruce, its not often that you get a picture of the 'post new type' grin. It was pretty hot work in the Anson on Sunday afternoon so a Tui was just what I needed when I got out. Thanks for the lift to the forum meet too.
We did a few air to air photo and video work for the show during the flight so hopefully there will be some nice material in the show publications as they come out.
Great to meet some of the forum memebers also.
Dave and I had a good yarn on the way back to Wellington in the train today, great way to pass the time. Glad you were able to come down for the weekend as well Dave and look forward to seeing you at Omaka.

It was great catching up with you and Tracey too Ryan, and yes the train trip was a great way to "talk a lot of aeroplane" as Bruce Cooke likes to put it. Well done on the Anson rating that you're going for. Maybe we'll see you doing the display at Omaka?
The photos here are fantastic. Welcome to the forum oesau.
Keep them coming guys and girls!

It's great to see that aerial shot Peter. The other photos are super too. I never realised there's a big river at the end of the runway. Which river is that?

The river we crossed on the bridge with no sides (with a 40km/h temporary speed restriction at one end) just before Masterton.
That river comes straight out of the Tararua Ranges. The Masterton water supply comes out of the headwaters of the Waingawa River.

The NZDF Recruiting bus Jim Rankin arriving in Harvard NZ1015 NZ1078 arrives from Ardmore A very clever move I noticed is that the airshow committee has designed the layout with one side of the gold pass tent where the aircraft park was with fenceline speakers as is the norm these days, but othe other, longer side of the public area that was not impeded by parked aircraft also did not have speakers in the foreground to ruin photos. Instead they had a very adequate speaker tower Those shots also prove how early Bruce and I got in! It soon filled out in numbers.
