The commentary team was superb, both those from overseas and the local commentators from TVAL, the RNZAF, Warbirds, the Yak Team, etc. And Tom William's piece at the end was also very good.
I think the commentary team had done a huge amount of research and put the info across well, and the music that was chosen to accompany the acts was great, especially that last Mosquito act where most people were silenced in awe and on the verge of tears.

The music for the Mosquito finale was by Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel (he was guitarist for Dragon in the 80's), it is an amazing piece of music and really did fit the scene and bring a tear to the eye. The music is 'Last Post' and what is even more amazing is that the bugle/trumpet is Tommy on the guitar. Check it out on Youtube, open another window with the Mossie flying and tell me it doesnt bring a tear...

Great of Warren to post that video. That was my view for Saturday. Its an arms and legs machine the Anson, flinging it around is a bit like what an arm wrestle with Arnold Schwarzenegger might be.

Great of Warren to post that video. That was my view for Saturday. Its an arms and legs machine the Anson, flinging it around is a bit like what an arm wrestle with Arnold Schwarzenegger might be. It seems you get quite busy pumping the flaps and circuits one handed all while flying her around! And the rudder controls are working hard too! Great video - loved it!

I don't see any of Britfire's images - just shown a placeholder and "[image]" Is there anything I can do? <edit> I think it's just a memory thing - too many tabs up, too many images, it's better now.</edit>
