Been working on one of these mixed media kits in 1/72 (vac/Resin), b***dy good model actually! Lars Opland based in Wasilla, Alaska produces them along with various old Fairchild, Waco and other aircraft

I reduced the build time of mine by modifying Airfix Cessna Bird Dog wings, wheel struts and wing struts (they fit perfectly with minimal adjustment). This one will be a Mount Cook Skiplane variant, probably in 1970's livery. Hard to see in these pics but there is some quite nice internal detail. I stuffed up the tail somehow (too short), so I'm in the process of modifying the spare Cessna 180 tail with the bigger fin fillet so that I can replace
