Well, we're booked for Wings Over Illawarra. Pretty quick trip with just basically heading over for the show & staying in Wollongong. Am looking forward to it!

The Wings show is shaping up rather nicely. Should be lots there for every taste. I'm looking forward to it even though I have nine shows to do before it arrives. Lots of activity in the next few months.

On another note, can anyone advise me if there were any airshows on of before the weekend of 6/7 January (other than Evans Head, NSW) anywhere in the world?

Replacement commentator for Steve Visscher (who is now working for the event company which runs the show), looks just the sort of person you want! Enthusiasts should definitely try to get over at some point.

Warbirds Downunder is set to take place on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October 2018, and will again be one of the hottest tickets on the airshow scene!

Just be aware that accommodation in and around Temora is getting quite scarce already. You will likely find that if you want to attend both days of the airshow and stay somewhere within around an hour's drive of Temora you will need to secure your accommodation soon.

Line up of aircraft for the event is looking interesting. Talking to some of the Temora crew at their last flying day, they are quietly confident that they are going to have a really good lineup of aircraft particpating, a few surprises, and some of their usual "you will not see this anywhere else" formations participating. Being in October rather than November, hopefully the weather will be a bit more predictable and not as hot as the previous events.

Thanks for the nudge, just got refundable Friday night in Wagga - if I go we'll be staying in Canberra for a few days, and I'll pop away Friday and drive back on Saturday evening.

Damn, mine went to spam - and I've been traveling most of the day any way. As they assign the seat numbers, is row A the front or the back? The seat map just gives the locations of the different stands etc.

Errol, from memory from last time Temora had the allocated seating in the stands, A is at the front, can't remember how the numbers ran across the rows, that is which side facing them they placed seat 1. Cheers.
