Perfect Evan, I was thinking along the same lines based on the Avspecs Mossie shirt that we advertise here on the forum in banners.

Well, we're booked for Wings Over Illawarra. Pretty quick trip with just basically heading over for the show & staying in Wollongong. Am looking forward to it!

The Wings show is shaping up rather nicely. Should be lots there for every taste. I'm looking forward to it even though I have nine shows to do before it arrives. Lots of activity in the next few months.
On another note, can anyone advise me if there were any airshows on of before the weekend of 6/7 January (other than Evans Head, NSW) anywhere in the world?

You can currently (AirNZ 48hr sales) get airfares to Melbourne (for Tyabb March 11) for $500. Very tempted (Corsair, Snipe).

Replacement commentator for Steve Visscher (who is now working for the event company which runs the show), looks just the sort of person you want! Enthusiasts should definitely try to get over at some point. www.wingsoverillawarra.com.au/story/2018-air-show-commentaryBright Events, producers of Wings Over Illawarra, Australia’s largest annual air show, are thrilled to welcome long time aviation journalist and national radio personality Tony Moclair to this year’s commentary team. Tony wrote for many years for Australian Aviation magazine and currently hosts Australia Overnight on the Macquarie Radio network. He brings a wealth of aviation knowledge and enthusiasm to our team, and an easily relatable presentation style for our audience. Tony will join highly respected air show commentator Peter “Ando” Anderson in the tower to describe the action, while Plane Crazy Down Under’s Grant McHerron will be providing infield interviews with many of the key performers each day. The air show takes place on May 5th & 6th at the Illawarra Regional Airport, NSW. Further information can be found at www.wingsoverillawarra.com.au

Update on Warbirds Downunder 2018 at Temora Warbirds Downunder 2018: Tickets Released April 10th 2018 at 9am AEST Warbirds Downunder is set to take place on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October 2018, and will again be one of the hottest tickets on the airshow scene! The very popular Premium tickets, along with General Admission tickets will be available from April 10th, with Early Bird pricing applicable. This year we have also included a family ticket to offer the ultimate family experience! Be the first to secure Early Bird tickets by visiting: warbirdsdownunderairshow.com.au/ticket-info/* This is also the place to purchase your accommodation tickets for either Airfield Camping or Squadron Tent Barracks. Camping and event tickets can all be purchased in a single transaction. For ticket prices & inclusions, and all things related to the event; Visit: www.warbirdsdownunderairshow.com.au or Email: info@warbirdsdownunderairshow.com.au Just be aware that accommodation in and around Temora is getting quite scarce already. You will likely find that if you want to attend both days of the airshow and stay somewhere within around an hour's drive of Temora you will need to secure your accommodation soon. Line up of aircraft for the event is looking interesting. Talking to some of the Temora crew at their last flying day, they are quietly confident that they are going to have a really good lineup of aircraft particpating, a few surprises, and some of their usual "you will not see this anywhere else" formations participating. Being in October rather than November, hopefully the weather will be a bit more predictable and not as hot as the previous events. Regards,

Thanks for the nudge, just got refundable Friday night in Wagga - if I go we'll be staying in Canberra for a few days, and I'll pop away Friday and drive back on Saturday evening.

Damn, mine went to spam - and I've been traveling most of the day any way. As they assign the seat numbers, is row A the front or the back? The seat map just gives the locations of the different stands etc.

Errol, from memory from last time Temora had the allocated seating in the stands, A is at the front, can't remember how the numbers ran across the rows, that is which side facing them they placed seat 1. Cheers.

Right, Silver purchased (gold was gone, and I didn't fancy waiting until the public release on the 10th).
