I went to google to find out about the coconut crab. It doesn't just eat coconuts. I suppose it had quite a feast on the dead Japanese ?

Easter and finally some time for modelling. These are the base structures for a pair of scratchbuilt Quonset huts yet to be shod with corrugated iron and mounted on some piles which seem to be very common for Pacific island builds. fullsizeoutput_1873 by tankienz, on Flickr

Thanks for reminding me the quest is never over And i've hardly started on the aircraft. 1. YMCA C15 - already planned 2. There is small company who have just re-released a 1/48 Dodge Weapons Carrier but at $NZ125 it's rather expensive. www.pilot-replicas.com/collections/resin-vehicles/products/dodge-wc52-jeep-in-1-48-scale3. Are you refering to the IH M-3L-4 refueler in the background (which i'm currently researching and I have a source Tamiya GMC ready to be butchered) or the small tracked mobility thingy under the Zero? That would be a challenge.

The small tracked thing under the Zero(being used as a tie down weight) is a 'Skid,Bomb and Torpedo, mk6'. murfy.us/doku.php?id=photos:ww2_bomb_cart:ww2_bomb_cartI didn't link the Corsair tow vehicle because i thought you had already made one. Doh, Kittyhawk, my eyes are bending.

No I made C8 with No 13 cab which were widely used by RNZAF in Pacific. I have vehicle identification book open in front of me, the Kittyhawk tug appears to be a Ford F15A 4x4 with with No 11 or 12 cab. Edit I just realised I have a No 11/12 cab which I don't need for the purpose the kit was purchased for.

Working from home aka endless Zoooom meetings but on the weekend I did get some layout time when I got the blue backgrounds looking all the same, added green band and started painting tree trunks onto the back scene. fullsizeoutput_1894 by tankienz, on Flickr If you thought the pre lockdown rush on toilet paper was unusual I can now admit to where it all went. Four layers of individual sheets and lots of PVA to form the basis for my sea waves. fullsizeoutput_1895 by tankienz, on Flickr

You'd be surprised what I have stashed away. fullsizeoutput_189e by tankienz, on Flickr But I only have one. No chance of a whole train of them and I'm not going to admit what it cost when US postage is included..... it was outrageous of such a small kit

Might pay to stop looking, there won't be any room for aircraft with all these vehicles on the airfield.
