Good to see some pictures, seems like it's a decent day for the show although a bit cloudy for photography. Unfortunately I didn't end up making it due to some personal commitments this morning but hopefully I'll get a chance to see the Mosquito and Airacobra up close before they head off to the US.

A great day. Think Errol went home and changed the light level. Good to catch up.

You can take it as read that everything about the light in those photos (other than its existence) is a lie.

Nice photos all, thank you!
Peter, did you ever photograph ZK-BCV in her previous life registered as such?

fantastic photos thanks Errol! Thanks - now you've got a few months to organise a re-creation of the first one in the UK!

Nice atmospheric loop Marcus! It was great how we could just wander up to the P-39.

I never realized that being a plane nerd could be useful. I ended up giving a mini lecture on the P-39 to some members of the public who didn't know what it was.

I'm always learning great aviation stuff from you. I steal the best bits and pass them on to others as my own insights...

My goal for the day (apart from the Mosquito) was to see the WWI aircraft actually in the air. Fortunately, the wind was minimal during the morning so those aircraft were able to aviate. Pity about the grey cloudy backdrop, but that's life.

I had already seen the Fokker Dr.1 Triplane Replica ZK-FKD in the air at Omaka back in 2015, but nice to see it again

Thank you everyone, what fantastic photos! It looks like it was as fantastic a day out as I was hoping! It's wonderful to see the Great War trio up, to see the amazing level of interest in Mossie BCV, and doesn't the P-39 look great? So has NZ had three WW1 designs in formation that weren't owned by TVAL? On that, last night as I was driving home from work I was thinking: is Frank's Bristol the first NZ-based rotary-engined aircraft of the modern era that wasn't built or owned by TVAL?

Nope. The Chariots of Fire Collection Sopwith Pup replica ZK-SPH meets that criteria.

Peter, did you ever photograph ZK-BCV in her previous life registered as such? I have a photograph taken at Milson 1954, but not by me. Too young then!
