Aww, shucks Truth is, if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have been able to go. I am incredibly grateful. Looks clear that you had a better BUFF flypast than we did for the RAAF show in WA a few years ago ! Well...the US defence attache told us over the PA that 0059's crew (does anyone recall the callsign? Bold 59?) crunched the numbers and they were able to do three passes instead of the one I think we all expected. The first was fairly low speed - "Why's it so quiet?" my nephew and the girls next to us asked - then a second with bomb doors open, and finally a wonderfully loud and whistly higher speed run. Thank you USAF! Did Brian Hall's T28 make it up there? I was sure it was planned to participate. It was mentioned in the commentary as hoped for on Sunday, primarily due to weather I think. I asked on the Ashburton Aviation Museum's Facebook page today - they had posted a photo of ZK-TGN - and they replied the weather en route was atrocious and impassable. Here's hoping they make it to Omaka but I must say the pairs display was fantastic! Well worth the wait while they worked it up.

I have some of my videos currently uploading/processing to YouTube. The first one I sent up is a video of all three passes of the B2 but YouTube objected to the soundtrack playing over the PA at the beginning of it, trying to get just the music removed, otherwise will have to mute the first minute of the video. Currently uploading are the T28's, Steadfast, and TVAL. Should be available at www.youtube.com/channel/UCtBu5mA15wUKmYwWkE9Yz8w/videos?view=0&sort=dd&flow=gridif link doesn't work search for user Lspace

Is it possible for the weather to be too good for an airshow? Despite wearing a sensible hat and staying hydrated I think I managed to give myself mild sunstroke. I may have to give up on ever visiting Temora! Luckily my partner is the photographer and she kept her eye on the ball. IMG_7327 by Campbell McGill, on Flickr The bus from Wellington dropped us off a bit late but Steadfast was looking good. IMG_7334 by Campbell McGill, on Flickr IMG_7771 by Campbell McGill, on Flickr IMG_7780 (2) by Campbell McGill, on Flickr TVAL was quality as always. IMG_7415 by Campbell McGill, on Flickr The Aussies were pretty hardcore bringing the C-130J over for a socially distanced display. IMG_7494 by Campbell McGill, on Flickr The B-52 wins the hardcore award for coming all the way from Guam. IMG_7655 by Campbell McGill, on Flickr The pairs Spitfire display was nice. IMG_7829 (2) by Campbell McGill, on Flickr I would have made sure we were better positioned for the finale fly past and wall of fire on Sunday...

Top shots! It's nice to see someone had a decent lens! I have some of my videos currently uploading/processing to YouTube. The first one I sent up is a video of all three passes of the B2 but YouTube objected to the soundtrack playing over the PA at the beginning of it, trying to get just the music removed, otherwise will have to mute the first minute of the video. The music was a bit intrusive at times, but I wasn't sure if it was just because we were closer to a speaker. And some of the song choices were interesting, to say the least.

The RAAF contribution comprised a C130J Hercules doing a flypast, landing, and takeoff on each of the two days. Fridays participant was A97-440 And Saturday's, A97-447

Very nice. I did a double-take when I first saw the shot of Steadfast because from that angle on first glance it looks a lot like the La-9.

I take it the Flying Days are all still Flown below the RADAR (so to Speak ) with no publicity nor Public attendance?? Usually last weekend of the month, so still have March and April. You can just watch over the fence or have a coffee at SVAS. On a good day there will be sixteen aircraft outside and most will fly.
