Hello all, wondering if these events are monthly? For example would there be one in early July by any chance?
Thank you.......

The events are normally twice a year, one in Queens Birthday weekend and one in early December. Due to COVID we have not had an event since 2020 and have made a call to hold a Queens Birthday event this year. No decision yet on whether there will be another event in 2022.

Not sure if it's relevant to Warbirds on Parade, but the following day - 6 June- is a very important date in history :-). As always, around the 6 June, I'll be hoping for fine weather... the type of weather you'd like for your first glider landing!!! :-)
Lest we forget.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Nick Sheehan of New Zealand Warbirds extends a special invitation to members of the Wings Over New Zealand Forum to attend a special pre-airshow event at Ardmore. If you're coming to the airshow on Sunday the 5th of June, and you'd like a little extra insight into the NZ Warbirds collection, Nick invites us to join him and other NZ Warbirds members for a hangar tour, a chance to get up close to the aeroplanes - including the WWI aeroplanes - and a chance to talk with Warbirds pilots and engineers, ask questions and get photos. There will be sausages on the bbq, and the bar will open after the hangar tours.
Nick suggests a 3.30pm start on Saturday 4th of June, and to attend will be $5.00 per person to cover the bbq, and show your pre-paid Warbirds On Parade ticket for the next day. Pay the $5.00 for the bbq in cash on the day. Beers at the bar will be extra.
This is a fantastic opportunity to have special access to the collection and the people who keep everything flying.
So we know numbers to expect, please indicate here if you are keen to join us for this event. And if you're bringing anyone else, how many people.
Start the Warbirds On Parade weekend with a very special event just for WONZ and Warbirds. Thanks to Nick, and to Frank Parker, forarranging this.

As always, around the 6 June, I'll be hoping for fine weather... the type of weather you'd like for your first glider landing!!! :-) Lest we forget. I did my first glider solo on 7 June (1969) and it was typical winter weather that morning at Ardmore. Wearing my aviation historian hat it occurred to me that Lou Cadman had sent me loose in K7 GDC exactly 25 years after D Day taking into account that we are 12 hours ahead of the general D Day area. So, with this in mind I think it is appropriate I be there for the Saturday and Sunday events.

Hello there, my name is Aidan and I am a 14 year old aviation and Space flight enthusiast from Cambridge. I am asking this question in regards to the WONZ Forum meet at NZ Warbirds this Saturday. I know the idea is for Nick Sheehan to give us a tour, and to have a BBQ etc. Is there any possibility than I could catch a ride up with someone who is going on Saturday? I will be up for the airshow on Sunday, but would like to attend this meet too. Thanks a lot, Aidan

Hi Aidan, is there any chance you could get a lift to and from Hamilton? You would be welcome to come with me from there for the afternoon. I live in Pukete, north Hamilton.
