Just the one Black Falcon? Looking at FlightRadar24 I can only see one.

Just the one Black Falcon? Looking at FlightRadar24 I can only see one. When the Texan's fly in groups they generally only use one call sign, e.g. Falcons = Black Falcons Texsil (Texan Silver) = Multiple Texans Texgld (Texan Gold) = Multiple Texans

Great pic's in as you say trying conditions, a Helo, Fokker, XL750, Beaver and a Corsair, can't complain about that mix of machines?
Nice to see a picture of "BVA" doing her thing, so what do we call the latest incarnation out of PAC/NZ Aero, XL 750 Super/II, I see Superpac/XLSTOL written on her side??

It is registered as 'NZSkydive Limited 750XL-II'. As opposed to the earlier 'Pacific Aerospace 750XL'. Company website calls it 'SuperPac 750XL-II' NZ Skydive Ltd is trading as 'NZAero'. www.aerospace.co.nz/company/profile

Well done. This one looks like it could be a close-up of a profile print.

Some lovely photos there Grant! It's a shame TVAL's machines couldn't fly, I was keen to see photos of the Eindecker in action.
I travelled down from Whanganui with my partner and her parents on Saturday (we had other commitments on Sunday) and were turned away what must have been minutes after the cancellation - we never set foot on the field, but I am so, so very glad for the organisers and the attendees that Sunday seems to have gone so well.

Friday was rubbish weather which did improve Saturday to a very limited extent but it was still a very strong gusting crosswind on both runways and totally unsuitable for operations by everyone. Sunday started a bit cloudy but cleared to nice blue sky. Tom Williams predicted the weather absolutely correctly for the three days. Local knowledge is a wonderful thing. I felt so sorry for all the organisers and volunteers who had put in so much work on two occasions only to have weather intervene. Love the pics. The shot of the Anson featuring Bill is great and then there is that strange PAC FBA-2C3 (to me a high wing CT4), beautiful formation by the RNZAF Heritage flight with the Spitfire....and a nice shot of Cookie flying the Wairarapa Helicopters 500. If only the damn weather had kept away.....

The perfect focus and detail in those photos is amazing. I had cataract surgery to both eyes last week and it has been an outstanding success. I feel obliged to trawl back over the last two years to re-look at all the photos everywhere in the forum to gain a better appreciation; an insurmountable task, but the justification is there.
