Great shots Alex. The colours seem very vivid. Have you tweaked them?
The autumnal colours of the backdrop trees look great though. Nice Mustang shots too.

Nice photos Colin as usual. That new Eurocpter looks very smart in black. Is Ardmore very busy? Thanks Joe. Sometimes it can be very busy and other times not so good. Seem to be getting more helicopter movements as new ones arrive or leave for export. Cheers

Black Helicopters are normally considered bad omens, aren't they? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_helicoptersWhat is with that wire held on the side of ZK-HKXs cabin by three strips of speed tape? It runs diagonally from the bottom edge of the starboard crew door and up towards the engine compartment. Some sort of test instrumentation sensor perhaps?

Its possibly a synchro line for a track / balancing strobe. Often (especially after initial assembly) a check of the dynamic tracking is required. A mechanic sits inside and shines a strobe light at various bits of reflective tape on the blade tips to ensure they all track the same way. The strobe works like the timing light you or your mechanic use on your car. a magnetic sensor stuck on the gearbox output shaft provides the synchro pulse.

That Cessna 421 is really nice, it has been modified with spoilers and has a glass cockpit. That wave livery is new, it only had the line before, giving it an unfortunate Origin Pacific look.

Great photos of the Citabria, Colin. It's a very beautifully kept aircraft, I had the pleasure of climbing in the back today when Bruce taxied it from one hangar to another, and it's very roomy and comfortable, and looks just like new.
I spotted that Cessna 400 outside the cafe when Bruce and I had lunch. It's a really neat looking machine. It was great to see the L-29 flying, I'd neer seen one in the flesh before, and seeing it flying was great. It's a while since I heard a military jet in the air.

Nice photos, Bruce you are so photogenic obvioulsy That Cessna 400 is what used to be called a Columbia before they were bought out by Cessna. Did you take that today Colin? There was a launch at the Auckland Aero Club bar that evening I believe. Anyone here go to that?
