Sorry about all the monologue by me on here, but does anyone know about flights in the blue Aero Vodochody L-39C in Nelson airport, and if so, how much? It would be a massive help.

If I'm damned lucky I may be sitting by that Stuka in a WW2 Luftwaffe uniform. My local Air training corps have been invited to be part of a re-enactment. Keep an eye out for more news from me on that.

Mind you, at 3.50 a minute I wouldn't be doing it if I were that sort of person.

Bombing successful; we took the door off a cessna 172 and chucked the bottles out. Great fun had by all.

The problem is, NZ is apparantly a pacifist country. So the govornment won't spend money that would be useful. I am really considering joining the RAF when I'm 17 as there maybe no RNZAF left.

Does anyone know anything about a WW2 era monoplane with Harvard styled cockpit? I saw it over the Collingwood St bridge going into land yesterday.

At founders park (in Nelson) there is an old Safe Air BF that's been there for a long time. You could used to sit in the seats, but that's sealed off now, although you can still see into the cockpit. You of course get there by going through the fuselage, and the even kept the old passenger seats at the back. If in Nelson, try to get to that and the cafe in founders park. It has excellent food, and although I of course cannot have it, traditional Nelson beer. Would love to see the MAC BF at Omaka 2011.

Nothing other than the date and location on google. However, in 2008 Rnzaf sent down the Red Checkers and the Kingair.

I've been a member since December 2009. I didn't know Nelson was a bomber base? I have to find out more about sun city's history! We fly over to Omaka on the 27th of march to look at the museum again. It's a real privelige to be able to do that at my age.
