After being there a few weeks I tried to get around their bases using their SATS services. Tried multiple times to get a herk from Richmond to Amberly and Townsville, but they kept going U/S Finally got to Amberly and landed in the first rain for 4 months which they blamed on me. When I tried to get back home again the herk went u/s with fuel leak inside cabin so ended up having a ride back to Richmond in a Caribou

Hmmmm, being a Kiwi flying in a PC9 out of Pearce I would have thought that was part of the deal. Any idea of the odds ? Being RNZAF I mean. I am sure the pilot must have ribbed you about it.. I know you were there on exchange but I think visiting aircrew got famil rides also. There was a Kiwi exchange pilot and for some strage reason he wasn't permitted to take me up. Any pax flights had to be okayed from Canberra, well when I was there anyway.

when I went for my flight in a PC9 at RAAF Pearce, the pilot told me as we were taxying that he would call eject 3 times and I had to punch us both out. luckily that never happened.

Ok, haven't posted any images since last year so better get things rolling soon. Saw this as I drove past yesterday. Thought the titles were a bit different than what I thought they used to be.
