It might be a bit late but have any of you guys organised a place to meet up on saturday at the show. Maybe the new Texan at lunch, open to suggestions, and won't be offended if nothing arises.

Did anyone get a photo of Taylor Swifts 40 million dollar beast at Auckland, apparently it was in Queenstown on Sunday night.

Hi Baz, What Scraper is saying a scarfe joint would be better as the two pieces top and bottom will show through the fabric, as it is on a taper above and below,as bumps unless you sand them well back behind the fabric line.

Went down to Mandeville on sunday to the flyin. Didn't take many photos, but it was a good day out. We the Southland chapter of the SAA have a meeting there and a chance to have a look at John Baynes new F1 rocket. Never got to see it fly as the starter gave up and an attempt to swing it did no good sadly. Won't say to much about it as our own DH90 is test flying it and he might do a story on it in the future. This Austrailian Lightwing Gr582 is owned by Malcom Swanson at Winton, but has real history as it was flown direct from Mallacoola, Austrailia to Haast on 2/12/1999 by Ben Buckley, setting a record for the first 2 stroke to do so, he was either mad or had big knackers! Some of the line up. A wee Auster for baz. Great detail in these models

This week I have been working at Lake Hayes Estate on the approach to Queenstown. A couple of days it was a bit foggy and drizzly, when a 737 flew by with gear and flaps down it produced vorticies off the flap corners, the A320 a few minutes later just flew by with no vorticies at all. This happened a few times with the aircraft approaching within a few minutes of each other. Does the 737 have a higher wing loading or is the A320 configured better for slow flying?

Of course, all part of the show! Ground loops, no ones exempt, there's those that have and those that will, the sooner you do it Baz the better you will be for it. It is amazing how fast they rotate when they get away.

She looks pretty heavy, the god squad will weigh it up for sure, only allowed 8 ton on a single axle, twin tyred, plus the over-hang.

This is titled Scraper falling from a plane. Third video. For the untrained a scraper is an earthmover which ways about 15 tonne, Terex made a TS9, with bedford engines, for the military that would fit into a Hercules for parachuting into areas to make runways. Not sure if this is one, hard to tell.
