Thank you so much for posting these and would love to see more. Looking back on my Eurpoe trip 20 odd years ago I did get to see the Burford Kiwi but never considered visiting these sites, It was the ones in Italy I particularly wanted to have visited as my Grandfather was with 4 RMT 2NZEF.

I saw an interesting breakdown of the trailer For Midway on Youtube. Its' one of those you can't unsee it moments. A zero is low flying down a road with buildings and trees on either side. I don't think thats right for an aircraft with a span of 36 feet. I'd say they made the plane shrink for dramatics.I know I'm being a little anal but ....

We could ask the Aussies for a deal on their ARH Tigers given they are looking to replace them. It wouldn't be the first time.

Hi Guys
Would be great but I'll bet Dollars to donuts the neighbours will kick up a hell of a stink, and it not be worth the hassle.

A quick query. in the photo that Dave posted with the 2 DH Venoms (boy I hope I got them right)the NZ roundel is shown on one facing the front while the other is facing to the rear. Is this correct?

Hi All Just saw this over on the War Zone
Maybe Uncle Wintson and Aunty Ron could put in an offer. You need to start somewhere.
Thought it might be of interest and worst comes to the worst would make a great Garden feature.

Hi Guys, a small you tube as an addition to Savage Builds with Peter Jackson it would be good if we could identify the pilot. Oh and they are standing in front of the SE5

The episode was rather good. Just a pity we don't have smell o' vision, for the oil, and if Peter Jackson ever needs a bit coin, Dogfight flights could be the next big thing. I really must go down to Hood aerodrome. Anyway if you able this episode is worth watching.

I've seen it an it is brilliant,I'm very familiar with Apollo 11 footage (The space program is my first best love) and to see the unseen stuff is mind blowing, It's great what is happening now in terms of footage restoration, we had this, they shall not grow old, the cold blue and the upcoming Beatles doco from Sir Peter. But back to Apollo 11, The story about how this project came about is interesting in its self the makers were working on another project in the archivies and pointed to a stack of boxes and asked what it was- Oh that's never used Apollo 11 film and audio, bear in mind everything was documented for weeks prior to launch. that was never cataloged so they had to sync up audio tapes to film in a nut shell. There is an interview on youtube about it. I believe this only the first, there is talk of other missions being done also in particular Apollo 17.

Hi Guys
Keep an eye of for The Cold Blue Using similar technology (I guess) that Sir Peter Jackson used for They shall not grow old.
From IMBD
In 1943, director William Wyler crafted 'Memphis Belle,' a tribute to the titular WWII bomber. Using footage from the National Archives shot by Wyler and his team, director Erik Nelson has created a new film, featuring narration from some of the last surviving B-17 pilots.
It's very good

This is great news, However to think those aircraft were delivered the same year I was born and given the aches and pains I experience now when running.Imagine what it is like for those aircraft. Good also to see an increase in boots for the Army maybe those spare LAVs we have might finally get used. Now if only they'd bring the drone purchase forward.
