I am currently on slipper Island near Tairua, the lovely private grass strip here was created by Abe Needham in 1948. I am John Furney, a RAF Squadron Leader long retired and now nearly 77 years old. I live in a town called Hampton which is right next door to Hampton Court Palace on the Thames in outer London. I am a collector of military badges/crests and in particular Air Force Squadron Badges. I have had the opportunity during our lockdown to put together all the WW2 Sqn badges up to the 900 series which were barrage balloon Squadrons without any authorised badges as far as I can tell. I am now turning to collate my 7th album which will be “Other Air Forces of today” I am starting with Commonwealth Air forces and I think that I have now got all the current RAAF and Canadian squadron badges and have now turned to the RNZAF Squadrons. On trawling the internet I found that you had in 2005 a conversation which showed all your Squadron badges at the time. Unfortunately they were all overprinted to obviously protect the copyright, and my question is how or who do I go to, to legally obtain a current set of RNZAF Squadron Badges?

Hi John, Welcome to the forum, are you looking for pictures rather than physical badges/crests? Tha RNZAF Museum has some, not the most amazing quality but good all the same, fotoweb.airforcemuseum.co.nz/fotoweb/archives/5010-Badges/Cheers Mit
