PETERSEN W J , Bill , NZ 427863 on Sunday 26 November. Pilot 102 Squadron Halifaxes. Bill was also a life long member of the Avondale Lions Club and for many years with the Te Atatu RSA. Bill was a keen supporter of the NZBCA and attended all of our home and away functions. He was also one of the few remaining Halifax pilots and always stoutly defended these aircraft in discussions with the Lanc boys. We will certainly miss him. Godspeed Bill.

" Vintiner enlisted in the RNZAF as NZ461075 on 3 Jun 46. He is not among those renumbered in January 1949 so appears to have left the service prior to this. The accident card for the wheels-up landing of Harvard NZ1072 by Wt Off W. R. Kearns on 1 Nov 48 when it was caught in a sudden downdraft when taking off at Nausori, Fiji records his 'passenger' as 'Mr R. Vintiner'. Presumably the latter is the same man as M. R. Vintiner. He may have already been on CAA duty at this time? Errol

After seeing a post back a bit re Ron Fincham, I did some research and yes, it is the one I know.
FINCHAM, Ronald William: 25.3.38 - 29.11.16 Ron passed peacefully at The Gardens Rest Home, Rotorua, on Tuesday, November 29. A private cremation has been held. Loved eldest son of George and Elsie Fincham, late of Balclutha, Taupo and Auckland. Loved brother of Graeme, Noel, Daryl, deceased, and Cliff Fincham, Valmai McSkimming, Raenis Williams and Naida O'Keeffe. He was a loved father, son, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many fellow aviators. Sincere thanks to his carers at The Gardens Rest Home and his children Mark, Tania, Neil and Rachael for their ongoing care. His passion was his family, the outdoors and flying. Any messages to Rachael Hofmann, 25 Pioneer Rd, Rotorua 3010.
Ron was the Taupo-based instructor for the Rotorua Aero Club back in the late 60s. When they pulled out of Taupo, he was one of the founders of Lakeland Aviation and built that up over the next few years. I lost touch with him at that stage, although I think he went rotary-wing and possibly to the Middle East somewhere.
Blue skies, Ron.

BOREHAM, Robert Francis (Bob): LAC, RNZAF. On behalf of our Mum, Shirley we would like to announce the sad passing of our dad, Bob Boreham 69 years young, on 28 November 2016. His legacy has been to show us the key to getting through life is to always move forward, better yourself, learn from things past and present, and most importantly exhibit a great sense of humour throughout. Bob has shown strength and dignity for which he should feel proud, as we are of him. Go well Dad, we love you. He will be greatly missed by his wife Shirley, his children Kim, Mike, Megan, Paul and his awesome grandchildren and greatest achievement; Jacob, Jasmine, Kaleb, Kara, Ryan, Cole and baby Zachary.
