Hi Dave, just checked again and it's working now. Cheers for your efforts and apologies if it caused you any worry.

No problem, these things happen.
I have created a new board for the show, as a Sub-Board of the General Board. Please address future remarks about specific shows to the specific show threads that I am about to create. Any general comments and queries can continued to be posted here of course.

I have done a bit of work today on this project, and now there are links form the WONZ Show page on the website to each individual thread in the new WONZ Show Board on the forum. As new shows are added new threads and their links will also be added.
At this point where we are finally "cooking with gas" as they say I want to say a huge thanks to everyone who has been patient waiting for this to happen and to those who have offered help too. I also must say a big huge thanks to Kerry Carlyle (fockewulf) who's generosity enabled me to launch this project by providing the technology; and big thanks to Errol Cavit (ErrolC) who has been a great support for me, especially in helping me get my head around the various programmes and file conversions, and then checking my progress to ensure it is all working. I couldn't have gotten this show off the ground without you two.

I was happy to help with what I know of podcasts, intelligent guesses, and encouragement. I listen to 10+ hours of podcasts a week, so look forward to much more entertainment ahead - even if the dog looks at me funny when I laugh for no apparent reason while walking him. :-)

Yes he's great isn't he. :-)
For the record, and this might be a bad idea on my part, but I have decided to add polls to the individual episode threads so those who have listened to the episodes can rate them, and give an indicator of whether they liked it or not.
Remember that the poll is based on the content, not the sound quality. ;D

I'm listening to the first ep now, I love it! A great concept Dave and I'll be glad to donate when and where I can. I look forward to the next episodes and what 2012 brings.

I have to admit I thought a few more people might have listened to the latest two shows by now and commented, I hope it's only the Christmas break that is holding people back and the novelty hasn't worn off already.
Last night I had the pleasure to record a very interesting interview with Peter Lewis (flyernzl) which will be uploaded in the near future.

Thanks Mike. I hope you will enjoy them.
I plan to record a show with Bruce Cooke tomorrow afternoon, so we will soon have the story of his Avian Adventurer and other projects up on the show list too. I'm looking forward to that.

No chance of the novelty wearing off with this project. I haven't had time to even start downloading the first show with the Canberra magnet man yet so to see you pressing on with more and more shows gets me quite excited (especially the Alan Peart chat).

I am thoroughly enjoying the show, Dave, I had some problems with Don's interview freezing occasionally -.- Listened to Larry and Geoff as well, and keenly awaiting the new uploads!

When you say 'freezing' was that on the streaming live option?

I interviewed Bruce Cooke this afternoon. Really good stuff, many here will be interested in his story. I hope to get Bruce's and Peter's shows uploaded in the next couple of days.

Yes, sorry, the streaming tool. I'm thinking perhaps downloads - as I do for the Kevin Pollak Chat Show and Transformers podcasts - will work best for me in future for the long ones. Very frustrating to listen to one of Don's stories/recollections and then silence.

The show is originally designed for downloading so you can store on your PC or take it away and listen on your iPod, etc.
I guess the stopping is perhaps bandwidth issues or your connection. I'm a bit worried that the bandwith on the free accounts I set up will soon run out. There's a limit per month free.

Any chance of setting it up as a podcast that you could download from the iTunes Store? Then it could be automatically downloaded to my iPod when it's uploaded and there would be a larger audience as well.
