The message about the upcoming Forum Meet at Brendon Deere's hangar at Ohakea has become a little buried in the RNZAF 75th anniversary Airshow thread, so I will start a new one here: Brendon Deere has very kindly offered to host a Wings Over New Zealand Forum Meet in his Biggin Hill Hangar at RNZAF Base Ohakea on the evening of Friday the 30th of March 2012, the evening before the big RNZAF 75th Anniversary Airshow. It will kick off at 7.00pm. This will be a very rare and excellent opportunity for forum members, where we can meet up amd mix with each other, with brendon and the aeroplanes. He owns a Spitfire, Harvard and his newly acquired Avenger. If you are going to be in the Ohakea area that evening and you're keen to attend the Forum Meet in Brendon's hangar, please let me know asap so we can make arrangements. Email me at dave_daasnz@hotmail.com You must let me know your full name and the names of anyone comign with you, because the hangar is in a secure area and if you're not on the guest list you won't get in. Currently there are 19 names on the list of people who will or maybe will be attending so it's shaping up to be a good gathering. |

Flying down and back in the DC3 on the day.

Since the thread has been split off, just to repeat that I'm driving down from Auckland with a mate (leaving Friday am) to attend both Forum meeting and airshow, and will have a spare seat down, and back Sunday, if anyone is interested.

Haha. There's 31 on the list at this time, however a number of them are only 'maybes' so i reckon we will see about 20 or so, which should make it a very good, fun evening. :-)
