I'll be at the Ohakea airshow with friends, but we are driving up from Wellington early on the Saturday morning, so there is no way I'll be able to make the meet on the Friday evening.

This is the final call for forum members who wish to register with the Forum Meet at Ohakea, kindly hosted by Brendon Deere at his Biggin Hill Hangar.
The following has just been sent out to the 35+ people who have registered so far by email:
Brendon has sent me some information and asked me to pass it on to all who are attending. Please take note of the following points:
- Drivers need photo ID (licence is fine) to pass security into the base
- I need to get your car registration number (licence plate) now please. I have to send this to Brendon with the list of names ASAP. if you'll be in a rental car and won't know the car's rego, let me know that now please.
- As you can imagine, there will be a lot of extra aircraft and people around on the Friday evening in preparation for the airshow and security will be extra tight. As such, there won’t be really any way of dealing with anyone who arrives late, for whatever reason no matter how far they have come. If you're late, you will not get in.
- Brendon will meet and escort everyone from the gate, and he can only do that once. Therefore 7.00pm is the “through the gate time” and therefore 6.45pm us the final gathering time. Make sure that you arrive at Ohakea's Main Gate by 6.45pm and be ready to move as a group onto the base with Brendon's escort. This is the only way you'll get on.
- We’ll set a close off time of 9.00pm as Brendon and the crew and many others have a very early start the next day to get all three aircraft towed out to the other side, etc.
- To avoid any misunderstandings – as both the Avenger and Spitfire are flying the next day, there will be no cockpit access in case people have some expectations. Brendon says "We don’t have time to be looking for dropped items etc the night before the airshow – just so there is no misunderstanding. We’ll provide a stand for people who want to have a good look in the Spitfire cockpit but any cameras must have a wrist strap used for the same reason of risk of dropping something."
- There is no restriction on photographs in the hangar but no photographs outside of the hangar despite how tempting that might be with what will be around. They will all still be there the next day! this is due to base security rules.
- Brendon is hosting the RNZAF artwork display in the hangar all that week so the aircraft may not be in their usual positions and may be “bunched up” a little more than usual – hopefully that will be well cleared away by then and we’ll have them spaced out again.
- Parking that evening will be right in front of the Biggin Hill hangar so no walking needed for anyone who has disabilities and Brendon has plenty of seats there.
Finally, if for any reason you have decided not to attend this Forum meet, or you want to add other people to the list, please contact me asap. We are about to cut off registration and close the attendance off. I know some of you were not sure when we dicscussed it, I need to know now if it's yes I'm coming or no I'm not.
Thanks very much, See you all there hopefully,
Cheers Dave

Do you get any special privileges if you turn up in a Hillman Avenger or Triumph Spitfire?

Hi Dave. The concerts in Dubai were cancelled, and I have my previous gig with KiwiFlyer at the Ohakea Airshow back, so I would be keen on attending the Forum meet if possible

They are moving the art across to one of the main hangars on base for the airshow. Brendon's hangar will be off limits during the airshow.
Chris, great, I'll add you back to the list. Your ticket will be double the price though. haha Email me your car rego please.
