Lovely weather in Auckland today. I was only able to make it to the first flying session, but everything appeared to be running smoothly. It looks like previous ancillary issues have been addressed. An impressive flightline (including a Stearman, from Tauranga I assume). And I managed a couple of got shots before I had to go. Congratulations to all involved at New Zealand Warbirds Inc. for a great day, with a well organised and laid back atmosphere, superb flying and a wonderful array of aircraft on show.
Thanks to Bruce Cooke for taking me up last minute after other mates I'd planned to go with pulled out. It was good company, and I enjoyed catching up with many other forum members at the event too.
My thanks also must go to Warren Denholm and the Avspecs guys for a lovely lunch, great hospitality and of course the star of the show, the Mosquito.
The Mosuito Over New Zealand Calendar was literally selling faster than the hotcakes there, with longer quese than the hot food stalls. It's a great calendar and every warbird fan needs one!

Had a bit on TV One news but why they had to have a background showing "Warbirds over Wanaka" in the newsroom when they are talking about Ardmore? Typical slack media. Good coverage though and a chat with Frank Parker, Keith Skilling and Dave Phillips as well as some nice shots of the Mosquito. Looks like a great time had by all!

Hi Dave, thats good to hear in regards to the que for the calendar, so many people were walking past with them and they will be available at Maserton and on the net soon. I agree with the line up, it sure was fantastic to see all of the aeroplanes together. Here is a Mossie shot followed by some I took during the Pearl Harbour open day practise session for the Roaring 40s.

Here is a shot taken yesterday, special thanks to NZ Warbirds for all of their work in making this happen, Deano wrote the programme around it so all of the required pilots could be available, Keith Skilling, Doug Brooker, Dave Brown, Graham Bethell, Liz Needham, and Colin Henderson were in the subject aeroplanes and Rob Silich flew the camera plane. Finally a huge amount of thanks to Warren Denholm and Frank Parker for giving this the green light in the first place. Trying conditions but we got there.

Who flew the Beaver ZK-CKH display?
The Rescue Chopper was good to see displayed as I don't often see the civvies doing their display. What is that BK117's registration? And does anyone know who the crew were in the chopper and the ute?
