It has been confirmed that the Mosquito will be flying ..... it is expected that there will be a large crowd if the weather gods treat us kindly on the day

Was talking to the guys about flying the Mossie at the open day amongst other things last week and again this morning and it should fly more than once which will be great. Not the same anticipation as September but looking forward to seeing it low and fast again.

Not the same anticipation as September but looking forward to seeing it low and fast again. Gutted I travel half way around the world and that day I'll be cruising The Milford Sound. Talk about a bit of poor organisation on my part Never mind, I'm calling in to Ardmore on the way up north later in December. Thanks Gavin for the info on Omaka. I'm not sure if it's been publicised as yet but I am led to believe that there is an event at Omaka on the 15th of December and luckily, I'll be up in Nelson at the time. Fingers crossed for Mr Reid's lovely Anson ;D Even better for me, my mate is lending me his 70-300L for the trip

Hi Pat, December 15 is when the next open day is planned at Omaka. Cannot remember whether I told (think I did) you but the Anson is based a Omaka now.
Cheers Gavin

Does anyone know what time the Mosquito is scheduled to fly please? For those of us who have to travel a long way to see it.
Also, how is the weather looking for Ardmore, every indication is it will be rain and cold up till Saturdaybut I have not seen Sunday's forecast for Auckland.

From the latest Ops Order:
Practice Displays 1045, 1245 & 1445
I think I saw somewhere that the Mossie will fly all 3 slots?
A NewstalkZB cancellation notice for the general public will be broadcast if adverse weather calls for that decision.
I can probably uplift and on-send two t-shirts (Andy, Zac), plus 1 for me of course!
Zac, what size and colour?
Cheers, Chris

Hmm, listening to NewstalkZB just in case will be more painful than the cancellation itself.

Over the past couple of months a few of us have been working hard in our spare time to produce something special for all of the Mosquito fans out there and we know there are thousands of you. This 2013 calendar will be available soon for purchase and delivery worldwide via the internet so will post more information as soon as things are ready to go. IN THE MEAN TIME, all of the lucky people attending the Pearl Harbour open day at Ardmore on Sunday will be able to purchase this during the day so keep an eye out for it. Here is the front cover shot, back cover is below. Dimensions are 436mm long and 311mm high printed on nice glossy paper. Price is 39.95 NZD for pick up from Ardmore on the day, track down the camouflage Avspecs bus and you will find the calendars for sale there. Postage will extra when purchasing off the internet so pick some up on the day if you can. We know a lot of you have been waiting for some merchandise to come out and we have been working really hard to put this together as quick as we could so here is your chance to have the Mosquito on your wall for the whole of 2013.
