The Rescue Chopper was good to see displayed as I don't often see the civvies doing their display. What is that BK117's registration? ZK-HLN

Thanks Damon.
Nice shot there Harry!
Was the Extra 300 flown by Steve Taylor? The reason I missed a few names is because the speakers where we were standing were admitting pure static and white noise, sadly.

Great day out and great pics guys keep em coming. Still editing mine so will take a while. Here is one with Mossie taxing back and some of the crowd watching. Sorry about heat haze but that is unavoidable from where I was standing. Cheers

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the Mosquito displays yesterday, especially in that Dave's display was very different from Keith's so there was some great variety. Both pilots did an awesome job. But the magic moment, and it happened twice!, was when Keith took it around the back abd came in low, hard and fast just over the rooftops from behind the crowdline, but safely over the taxiway from the warbirds hangar. Man, being just in front of that as he came through gave a real sense of what it must have been like to be on the ground when a low level attack was happening. The sound was intense!

Ralph, have you any idea how many people came through the gates? I was actually expecting a lot more with the Mossie as a drawcard and such great weather but it was a good crowd all the same.

Dave, we were geared up for a much larger crowd than were there, approx 1800 paid at the gate, if you add in the kids who get in free and the hangars on ... then probably just over 4000. We will be reviewing our entry policy for Battle of Britain next year ... but honestly were else could you have a show like that for 10 bucks !!!!

I love that Mossie5 shot - front on, they're all lovely shots! I'm glad the day was received and enjoyed so well, and its great we can share the Mossie in NZ for a little while longer for more folk to see it. The photos indicate just the wide variety of planes on show including the jets. Well done!
And many thanks to the pilots and ground crews who have sacrificed their time as well to be there and to bring the planes to us in such a fun way, true to their heritage.

I totally agree Ralph that the price is unbeatable, and equalled perhaps only by Armistice in Cambridge.
There were a lot of volunteers too I noticed which must be very heartening to the Warbirds organisation, many events struggle to get such numbers of enthusiastic helpers.
Thanks for that detail Mike.

Hi all Some of my pics. Spot the odd one out..... The P-40 is not painted to represent an aircraft flown by a member of the RNZAF? The Spitfire has only 2 (or no?) machine guns? The Mustang represents an aircraft not flown in combat? Thanks for the photos everyone. Sounds like I missed a couple of great Mossie displays!

I think 563 has to be... all other props/piston engines are V12's...
