Brilliant pics everyone! Thank you so much for sharing. Those of us unable to be there really missed out by all indications...

I see the Skyhawk has an LGB fitted! Where did they get that from I wonder? It also has a new pilot's name under the cockpit!

Dave, we were geared up for a much larger crowd than were there, approx 1800 paid at the gate, if you add in the kids who get in free and the hangars on ... then probably just over 4000. I think that it is probably just the time of year. As much as I wanted to go, I didn't because I had too much to do in the lead up to Xmas and that is probably the same for a lot of people.

There have certainly been a lot of amazing first flights in New Zealand this year. I am thinking....Mosquito, Anson, Yak 3, FE2b, 2 x Pup, 2 x Albatros, 2 x RE8, snipe....any others....what about next year.....Spitfire Mk14, Air Force museums P40 complete (static) anything is possible with the guys from the Vintage Aviator!

The Air Force Museum P-40 won't be completed this year. There is still quite a lot of work to do on it.

Looking good for being finished next year? Will they just concentrate on the Vildabeast and Oxford after that or start on a 3rd project again...like the PBY?

The two shots by Ralph of the Harvard pairs taking off seem to have a 3-D effect (on my monitor anyway) and look really great.
Great photos Harry, Colin and Ralph.

Looks like a great day out, thanks for posting everyone ;D Gavin have to say this and the other shots of Harvards at various attitudes from this session are awesome, those of 1057 in particular. Its come a long way from the state it was in during 80's when I used to play around it at Silverstream .

Was NZ1057 only recently repainted or have I only just realised? It looks great. It always did but now it looks even better in dayglo rather than dark red.

I think it's always been in dayglo and silver. Might have had a respray though, the dayglo was fading a bit last time I saw it.
