57 has always been orange rather than Red. To be strictly correct it should be Dayglow (I saw the colour scheme data when I worked on it at Gulf Aeronautics in the early 1990s) but the current non - glowy orange is a good and practical compromise,

My mistake, I must have been thinking of another Harvard, There used to be one in deep red and silver (I don't mean International Orange like NZ1065 now) and it had checks on the cowl. Which one was that?

I think its Harvard 98 NZ1098 ZK-ENJ your thinking of Dave.Normally now based at Tauranga airport.Has its maintainance done at Ardmore.It was there on the 9th open day at Ardmore airfield.

Almost like walking on the wings!! Fab shots considering what attitude your plane was at too. Great formation flying to achieve those shots!

A tad late, but here is a clip I put together of the at the Warbirds flying day. Still using my old non-HD Handycam, so quality not that good but the subjects of the video should make up for that.
