At Ohakea we call them static displays, they never move. Probably on back up to bring the PM home..........................

Well we only have 4, so 1 or 2 in maintenance, 1 for training and one on deployment. Also isn't some of the training completed by the King Airs?
Good to see New Zealand representing on the world stage at something meaningful.

Should only be Before and After Flight Inspections until we get some hours up and the "Checks" start kicking in ...

Plenty of usage? At Ohakea we call them static displays, they never move. Hahaha, crack up. Warwick Jones is living down there now and working in the museum at Ohakea, and he calls me often. When he does he mentions how many P-8 tails he can see on base. It is usually four.

Shouldn't be any maintenance issues yet. These are new units. Perhaps... but they are, after all, recently-constructed Boeings, so the old standards you imply may not ring true. If it's Boeing, it might not be going.
