Great weather for the NZ Aerobatic Championships in Wairarapa this week. I was over in Wellington yesterday morning doing a few things, but as soon as I got off the train (into an oven, temperature-wise) at 2:30pm yesterday, I could hear and see aeroplanes doing aerobatics in the sky. I haven't been out to Hood while it's on, but after work this morning, I went to empty my PO Box and people were standing in the carpark next to Warehouse Stationary in Masterton watching one of the contestants doing his/her stuff in the sky over the aerodrome. I can even see it from my place about 4km in a straight line from the airport. And you can definitely hear it all over Masterton. The forecast is for a brief southerly front to pass through tomorrow morning, but then I guess the championships will be back to business. What a bugger we didn't get this weather during the weekend. There's lots of info about the aerobatics championships HERE as well as photographs posted to Facebook HERE.

Has anyone who bought their tickets for this event through Ticketek using a credit card received their refund yet?

I know I haven't.
Oh, and the Wairarapa tickets were through Ticket Direct, not Ticketmaster Ticketek. Ticketmaster Ticketek handled Ohakea.
The Ticket Direct website has absolutely no useful information on it at all. Their Facebook page hasn't been updated since November. Their Twitter feed hasn't been updated since 2014. I called their support phone number and received a message telling me I had called during their busy period before cutting me off. I have emailed their support address, so we'll see what happens. I have had responses from their email address before, and it is their preferred method of contact, so I am not 100% pessimistic at this point.
Edited to correct ticketing organisation. Thanks Rayo!

On 19 Feb I had an email from TicketDirect (see also www.ticketdirect.co.nz/event/season/1408 ) letting me know that they would be refunded back to the purchasing card within 7-14 Days. Note the variation in days between the Web Site and the email. However as my 3 Day Pass purchase included a ticket to Ohakea I have assumed they would wait until after that event before instigating the refund process for me. So I don't expect it to occur until next week or the week after in my case. As an aside for the point of accuracy TICKETEK were handling the Air Tattoo.

No refund here yet either... at least the weather picked up in Masterton for the Aerobatic Nationals... only lost Thursday and Friday morning due to low cloud mist drizzle and fog! Got the competition completed and then set sale for Ohakea Saturday morning. Feilding Aerodrome sure was busy with visiting aircraft but the hassle to get from Feilding Aerodrome to Manfeild then to Ohakea meant i didn't arrive until 11am! But at least i saw the F16 display... was O for Awesome!

I just checked and my credit card account is also in credit to the tune of the value of the airshow passes I purchased. I guess now I can go on a spending spree with my credit card without having to pay into it later.

Hey Brett love your correction method lol. So I to have my full refund from TicketDirect (better get it right haha!!). However I had a combined purchase with Ohakea Air Tattoo to which I have now attended for free. I was anticipating some adjustment for that and I am a little uncomfortable with the result. I am always happy to pay for my attendance and support at Airshows. I take it mine is not an isolated case?
