I seem to remember the Nieuport flying at CF17, as I thought it was pretty special to see Graham's Triplane share the sky with it. That's just made my day, what wonderful news! I've been wondering for a while when that project would surface. Fantastic! I'm very envious of those attending the show.

Yes, this is one of the four F2B replicas that Graham Orphan imported into NZ in mid-2017. Two were previous flyers, and two were advanced projects.
One of the projects was sold to Australia, and the other is still for sale as per the latest Classic Wings magazine.
Graham is keeping one of the flyers for himself, and the other was sold to NZ Warbirds. Both are currently being worked on at Omaka with the hope that they will be ready in time for Classic Fighters.
According to the Classic Fighters web site, NZ Warbirds are not only bringing their Fokker Dr.I, but the Bristol Scout and BE.2 as well!

At this stage it does appear that the RAAF Hornets and associated support aircraft/personnel will be staging from Woodbourne.

The vineyard people will be able to save on bird scarers for a few days then.

Yes, the classic jets and RNZAF/RAAF have set up there previously - but there is a difference between a pair (?) of Hornets plus support and e.g. C-27J.

For their first appearance I remember the RAAF Caribou flew from Woodbourne, at least on the Friday. Was bizarre to hear an aeroplane taking off from a different airport!

The vineyard people will be able to save on bird scarers for a few days then. Yes but will the Kiwis remember the sound of loud and fast combat jets, or will the Marlborough Police be getting UFO reports all Easter...

That must be pretty unique.. being so close like that. Would make for an interesting time coordinating for the RNZAF base tower and the airshow controller?

The RNZAF movements are (normally) peanuts, it's the normal non-military activity at what is also Blenheim's airport that is the issue. There is a write-up of 2017 procedures for visiting aircraft in this Vector magazine www.caa.govt.nz/assets/legacy/Publications/Vector/Vector-2017-2.pdf
