I'll be there with the usual associates.
I purchased our block of grandstand tickets from the Classic Fighters tent at the recent Warbirds Over Wanaka.

Graham Frew/Fighter Flights with Yak 3 "Full Noise" posted this:
We are looking forward to representing the significant part women played in the Great Patriotic War by displaying our Yak 3. Russia still boasts the only women fighter aces and of course the famous Night Witches too

I'll be there for sure.....guess meeting all the "usual suspects" at the top of the Gold Pass stand? I'll bring the specified sauce to the top of the grandstand at the event. And you've got to use the term “grandstand” 'cause some people don't like it when you mention the words “gold pass”....I got told off for it some months ago!

Sorry but this has to be said - It's not the words "Gold Pass" that is the problem, you are the problem Bruce. People who read the airshow threads get sick and tired of you specifically going on and on endlessly about your tickets, how many you bought, how early you got them, and how much you spend: and I know this because dozens of people have complained about your posts and how they feel like you are deliberately trying to lord it over people who by general admission tickets. You'd be surprised what people actually think. They are mostly people who also buy airshow tickets but do not feel the need to tell everyone about it endlessly. That is the problem. Just stop it. There, I have said it, and I hope you will comply because this is a final warning. You've been told about it before and ignored it.

I have to say I’m one of those who has spoken to Dave about this. Bruce, you’ve been very kind to me in the past but having to read how early you bought passes - and how many - is very awkward and embarassing. You have some lovely anecdotes but I don’t need to know how many tickets you bought and when! It feels as though any time Omaka, Wanaka or Hood is posted about or even obliquely mentioned you’ll be along in no time to explain how many Wanakas you’ve attended etc - I feel I have to brace myself for it.
Anyway, back to the important stuff and the topic at hand: it’s very exciting to see the 190 coming back. I only hope I can see it fly one day!

Your close proximity to Hood and TVAL with your periodic reports and your obvious support of the big shows is an asset to our area of interest. Likewise your evident knowledge of classic airliners and flying boats is appreciated and a valuable contribution to this forum. Such meaningful contributions in areas of your strength will please many of us most of the time. Of course none of us can for all of it!
