The Official Video of our Easter 2024 airshow is now available for purchase via online download.
The 60-minute Video features all the highlights of the show including the magnificent Mosquito, the American Eagles jet display team, the USAF F-16 Fighting Falcon, the recently restored P-51, the return of the Corsair and tributes to our founder Sir Tim Wallis and top airshow pilot Brett Emeny. See amazing footage shot out the back of the RNZAF Hercules C-130H and from onboard cameras on many of the aircraft. From the crowds arriving to the 300-metre long Wall of Fire to close the show it's all on the Official 2024 Warbirds Over Wanaka Video.
Up until 2018 we produced our video first on VHS (remember them?) and in later years on DVDs. The bad news is we are no longer able to produce the video on DVD and for 2024 we have it for sale via Vimeo download to your computer. The Video costs $US15 (approx $NZ25) but you can purchase in your currency.
FYI we are looking to eventually add all our back catalogue of Airshow videos from 1992 through to 2018 via download. This means you will be able to eventually have all our videos available in your own Vimeo Library on your computer to watch at your leisure with the option to cast them to your smart TV for an even better viewing experience.

The Queenstown Lakes District Council has been a long-term Principal Partner of the Southern Lakes' biggest event - Warbirds Over Wanaka. We are grateful to the council for allowing us to stage the main airshow at the community-owned Wanaka Airport along with our free community airshow on the Wanaka lakefront.
The council was one of a number of funders and sponsors who stuck by us during the Covid years providing funding to help us survive and to come back with such an amazing show earlier this year. Along with funding from the QLDC Event Fund we are also grateful for access to council-owned infrastructure such as mini grandstands and ticket booths.
THANKS QLDC and we look forward to working with you again as we start planning for 2026.
