...but you probably don't want to stand in front of it and flip the pilot "the bird"...I believe the term is "bristling"

Richard....can you remember rough dates of the different sponsorships? Will help in "carbon dating" some of the photos. When was the first test flight in NZ? Did it ever fly in white if so do you have any photos? Remember seeing some in the hangar but they have disappeared.

Fantastic...keep them coming!! Thanks guys...might have known you'd have a few Richard! Those last ones - are they enroute WF?? The look on my face must have been a premonition of the competition flight - not good!! Those ones from 'hairy' on 17/5 were me too!!
Please let me know if you DON'T want me to include them on our website!! If you want to be credited with the photos then please PM me your name - I don't know all of the 'handles'!!

Howdy All,
I'm looking at collecting a video/photo history of our Pitts S2B ZK-MAD. Any photos that anyone has would be gratefully received. Particularly interested in videos of airshow displays, and pictures of pilots/passengers. I've noticed that most that come for a ride in the aircraft have someone to take a photo or two and it's these I'm interested in.
I'd like to post the photos on our website with accompanying details of date/time/people. Am happy to provide details of the photograph owner with any links to your websites provided from the photos.
Please either post the photos or links in this thread or PM me and I'll give you an email address to send to.
Thanking you all in advance Mike

Some background on this. The main wheels weren't chocked, the parking brake wasn't on and the front of the plane was unloaded before the rear, also the wind was gusting more than 30 knots. The pilots tried blaming ATC for this happening! ATIS was reporting "WIND.....gusting 40KTS".
I'd blame the controller too [for not setting the park brake]....he should have noticed that!!!

What's really impressive is the speed at which the groundies moved...never seen them shift that fast before!! And is the guy at the front trying to stop it??

Hailing from Palmerston North (originally) myself I've always maintained that Wellington had windy DAYS whilst Palmy has windy MONTHS. This video show just how windy WN gets... HINT: watch the nosewheel!! nz.youtube.com/watch?v=0vdc9Ll8OfM

Correct Stu...and it flew on the day you took the photo...judging by Richard's old S1 (now owned by Darryl in NP) the photo was taken on the day of the much rescheduled Brian Langley Memorial Aeros comp....I watched it (PA23) depart whilst on the judging line and return a while later.

Played around with a pencil cam that I bought off TradeMe...requires a vidcam that will accept an analog input...used a Sony PC5e for these 2 vids...camera is secured in the luggage locker by both bungy and 100mph tape. nz.youtube.com/watch?v=E3AGhlxnjdY...and had a little more time to make one from the Nationals...taken over 3 different flights with 3 different angles...taped to my helmet, taped to the canopy frame, and taped to the side of the radio stack... nz.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjyQlgRnqLsP.S. took 3 flights to get a decent set of figures!!!
