Alpha put a new build 2160 on the civil register last month and has been exported so i think they are finishing the planes that were started and still on the line. they are also building parts i believe. the omega was advertised on trade me a while ago im not sure what progress they have made.

Hi guys i was reading a sport flying mag from th late 90s and there was a great wee article on a half scale War replica P-47 Thunderbolt being built by Hans Porter. I was wondering if anyone knew if he got the project completed and if he got it into the air. It might be the only representive example in NZ and NZ pilots flew the full size type briefly in the pacific during WW2.

this has to be vote rigging at its worst billions of dollars of land givin to tohue the tribe that sparked the terror raids and the birth place of NZ military aviation given away to make way for houses. its obvious where labour expects to get its votes from. the canberra bomber on display was flown to the museum in full airworthy condition its so un fair the museum wont be able to accept gifts in this manner in the future.

I've read that 4 full scale Mustang kits have been ordered by New Zealanders the picture looks really impressive i cant wait to see some of them in the air. Im not sure if any are in the country yet. With nearly 20 Titan T51 3/4 Mustangs in various stages and a couple of own design versions we will almost have an air force of them soon.

i was reading an accident report on this aircraft and it said that the aircraft crashed nose first and stood out of the ground at an angle. theoreticly the cockpit back wasnt completely destroyed. does anyone know if this aircraft is still in storage and whether with a newly built nose and cockpit section if it would be able to be repaired to at least display condition.

Wikipedia has an interesting article on John Carver Meadows Frost who used to work for AVro as an aircraft designer. I didnt know him personally but when he came to NZ he helped design the Murryair agricultural biplane for Air NZ and helped design a human powered plane in NZ. Before coming to NZ he designed Flying Saucers, the DH Swallow jet and the Avro F100 jet. He didnt make as huge an impact on NZ aviation as Patrick Monk but its interesting how many overseas born aircraft designers have a special link with NZ

I remember reading in wings magazines about a chap Dick Brett who built a gyro in 1954 and an autogyro called the Gibson GG1 ZK-RBX believed to have been design in NZ.
