If you saw it on the news it must be. ;D Dunno though, watching 1. item about the Tomahawk coming up. Steve. PS It was in the Nelson Mail too so I suspect its real.

Actually, pretty good reporting, I couldn't find anything wrong with it. BEAUTIFUL sound coming from that FW though.

Yep , picture in the local rag of it flying around with only one leg down . Pilot ( Frank Parker ) was able to reset the problem circuit breaker , and land with no problem . Shame though , this is exactly what we DONT need this close to the show .

To add to non-attendee's envy levels, you can see my updates via Twitter (including probably the occasional iPhone snap) at twitter.com/errolwiI'll be tweeting as well twitter.com/nzompilot - Errol are you going to be hashtagging? Im thinking #CF11 will work well, if people want to search for tweet updates that way. Anything wrong with #Omaka? The year isn't important.

Unfortunately I'm no longer able to make it - weather would probably have allowed us to get down there, and it's looking ok, if not particularly fantastic, for most of the airshow days, but getting back to Auckland next week is looking like it would be a problem and I have work commitments at the aero club. A shame to have to cancel at the last minute but such is the fickle world of general aviation. Enjoy the show guys!

I can't see anything posted yet... But it sounds like the FW 190 is a no goer tomorrow or the rest of the weekend... The small fan behind the prop has moved and caused some damage....
This is what I have heard from a couple of the guys on one of the ground crews... I know that FW190 didn't fly for much today.

Zac , Tomahawk ,(in fact all 3 P40's ) flying together today . Brief ( but very cool ) display by the Strikemaster ) . FW190 took off and did a bit of test flying , but sadly seems to have suffered a problem that will stop it taking further part in the flying . ( doesnt sound major , just will take a little time , pitty really , thats one cool plane ) ! To actually answer your original question , no ,the Yak was put out on display , but with some cowlings etc missing . Not flying .

Updating my experience today: I mainly wandered around in uniform, but couldn't really see the show that much, so I am looking forward to tomorrow. Anyone know of the strikemaster, will it be flying? Also, I will probably be able to see you guys at the aero club, but does anyone know where we could meet before then? I will be the strapping young lad in the slightly too big RETURN OF THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN t-shirt.
