You may well be correct as I could quite likely have confused him with someone else! Thanks Baz.

Others will have more detail but I believe he is a long haul pilot for Cathay-Pacific but lives in CHC when home.

BLOODY WELL DONE DAVE HOMEWOOD!!So doing some stats so that when he started the forum on 26th February 2005, through 4,828 days, he has made 50,009 posts by about 8pm today. That is an average of 10.35 posts a day - Simply WOW!!Others of worthy mention are: flyjoe180 - 9,821 Corsair67 - 8,480 (3rd to join I think) Kiwithrottlejockey - 6,084 Beagle - 6,016 Flyernzl - 5,595 (Peter Lewis) Baz62 - 5,587 sinbad - 5,455 Bruce - 5,118 (2nd member to join, a day later - also from Cambridge...) I may post on Flickr and then drag into here. But, well done to Dave for making this forum one of the most avid and interesting AVIATION FORUMS IN THE WORLD!! We are in awe of your knowledge and keenness to make this a joint affair and a clean one too with good rules and plenty of Moderators. Thanks Dave and raise our glasses to our esteemed leader - HEAR - HEAR!! CONGRATULATIONS!! May the WONZ forum continue to grow from year to year and maintain its interest in many areas, not just Warbirds and modern military but also in the other aspects of national protection through the years and national military intervention and support wherever our men and women are tasked to go. Thank for keeping our interest up too, with the various forum meets you have arranged all over the country. I know I have been to at least four in just the 5 or 6 years I have been on here

So what was on the plate on the reduction gear case in the second photo? Or was that where (on the left) that the data serial plate should have been but was absent?

The wingspan does not look that immense though, so not a heavy lifter, more a surveillance type.

Lovely light for photos - right in the edge though for that low speed shot without blur and OE can happen - was a bit, but well done. Yes bigger lenses get you closer! 1000m runway - a good challenge for the boys.

Yes Dave - great for the reminder. I should be coming and my local English buddy Marcus will probably come - especially to listen to Arthur and his RAF exploits and to view the Hunter and others in the Museum. I will need to confirm Marcus but he is usually willing TOTAL = 2 Graeme

I have a paid subscription to Flickr for whatever reason, and i could load 30 photos per day I think but I have only done that once, or close to 30. I'm not sure what the fee is.

There is also a proposed scenic flight by Geoff at FLY-DC3 at 10:30am that morning, ZK-DAK I believe, anyway and have booked a seat myself, price unknown depending on how many we get obviously. Contact Jessica on 0800-359-323 - Note - Sunday 3rd December WONZ Forum Christmas Party as details... - this is quite important!! This is extra to the hangar visit and means extra costs perhaps as much as $100-$120. I'm in already!! Graeme
