Thats the man , ( and his wife " bag lady " ) . Think hes not long been back in town , after a posting up north . Good bloke , we always catch up at least once a year , usually staggering around at the local blues and brews festival . Seems in ' the ol days ' a favorite trick was to ring his phone just to listen to him say " its Hair here " ;D

Hey Barf , think I heard your name come up in conversation the other day ( assuming that its your nickname , as well as your user name ) . Ever heard of Martin Hair , and from the deep past , Michael Churchouse ?

Wow!..sounds turbine powered? No , its certainly electric . The turbine like noise is the main drive gears , does give a nice turbine type of noise though . I'm wondering what the heli mechanics are ? Looks to be about 500 sized ?

Ok then , I got the dictionary out ---- nothing for ephemera , but ephemeral is short lived ? Still think Im missing something ? From Wikipedia (it must be true, it was on the interweb). "Ephemera is transitory written and printed matter not intended to be retained or preserved. The word derives from the Greek, meaning things lasting no more than a day." Thanks Stu , that seems to tie in my " short lived " definition . Still none the wiser on Daves use of the word though ??

That's sad to hear. I remember the Santa vivdly, I never saw him as being seedy, scary or whatever the PC lot say children could see in him. You never see much of Ronald McDonald anymore, either. Has the burger clown also fallen foul of the PC brigade? Ronald was his usual cheerful , rollerskating self at our christmas parade this afternoon . Perhaps his just got picky where he goes

I had to look up Cornell. AKA PT19. I had a wire controlled PT19 as a kid with a little Cox engine in it. Lots of fun. Yep , I had one of those too , and mine also spent a lot of time diving directly into the ground ! ;D

That is pretty awesome flying allright , but I can assure you , the guys that fly like that can probabally also solve a rubicks cube in 10 seconds - behind their back ! MUCH harder than it looks ! :-) Cool link also Shorty - float planes landing in a paddling pool ! Crazy !

Thats good news , earlier reports seemed to indicate damage was as bad , or worse than the first incident .( I know Dave - thats why you hate speculation ). Even better are Dougs comments , he sounds really positive about the whole incident , and determined to be back in the air asap , easter is still a big ask though !

Looks expensive allright , but thankfully not a right off . The local rag has an article with a pic , and write up that includes the cause of the incident . Was tempted to quote from it , but clearly its also only speculation ( so its not just us Dave )
