Talking to the Gary Madgwick, the bossman at Model Alliance at the UK IPMS Nationals a couple of years ago, he was under the mistaken belief that there was a Cobra Company conversion for the G. He was most put out when he found out there wasn't.
MA is undergoing some positive changes at the moment and I wouldn't count out them producing the conversion if they can get the owners of the base kit moulds to produce them a run of basic mouldings.
Watch out for new product lines at SMW 2010.
Take care
Andy

I think you are probably right that it was a transfer flight rather than an operational mission.
This is the first time I've seen a photo of the P-40 type tanks on an SDB and Peter C Smith refers to them in his 'Jungle Dive Bombers' book as only being used on ferry flights.
Great photo thanks for sharing.

Brilliant guys, I never realised that they stayed HSS, I was going by the mess that is the Classic Airframe colour scheme.
I was thinking of using the Alley Cat conversion as it solves the issue of the mishapen Airfix canopy, but the cut will make HSS harder. I have both the Classic canopy and the Ventura one and neither are anywhere close to the Airfix opening.
So, Maybe I'll use the Ventura vac Fuselage and the Airfix wings.

What a fabulous idea and the execution is brilliant as well.
There's a Guy over in the UK done something similar with an Airfix E.E. Lightning, it's up on Britmodeller.

The RNZAF Canberra B(I) 12 were delivered in overall High Speed Silver and repainted in Dark Sea Grey/Dark Green like contemporary RAF aircraft on the uppersides only in the mid sixties. As fair as I can find out the undersides remained silver.

Nice work so far. Take care with the wings as if you follow the instructions they can be problematical. Two ways to make them easier are to build the outer panels without the walls or to build the full span top and bottom separately then join them together. Of course you may have no problems it could just be me. Good luck.

Guys,
I'm about to start building my 1/48th scale Airfix B2 Canberra as T13 NZ5161, the last bubble canopy Canberra to be built, and want to finish her in camouflage markings.
I can't find any good images in my references so can any tell me the size of the upper wing roundels? I thought the original 84 inch roundes were reduced to 54'inches when the original High Speed Silver was overpainted but I'd love confirmation.
Thanks in anticipation

Fabulous photos guys, one small point, the Mk IIIs were delivered in the then standard Coastal Command Temparate Sea Scheme colours of Dark Sea Grey and Dark Slate Grey,(which is the colour of Welsh Slate i.e. a greeny grey colour), over Sky. Ocean Grey was only ever used on Fighters.
Both top side colours were very prone to weathering.

Guys,
don't know if you seen it already but Richard Chafer has just announced that he is going ahead with his proposed TA-4K 1/48th scale decal sheet and this will also contain some A-4K markings from the final year of operation. 1/72 and 1/32 might follow.
He posted the announcement on Britmodeller and it is under the TA-4J thread in Currrent Builds

Typhoon1,
I'm in the UK and order direct from Ventura with no problems. They email to confirm your order anf then to say they have posted it. Delivery is usually about 10 days. The prices are comparable and the service is excellent.
The decals are great as well, see my post on the Harvard.

Anthony,
the T-6 is available here but hasn't the Harvard glass so it's a messy masking job.
I have a Dh 60M but I'm more interested in books or other RNZAF reference material that I can't get up top rather than kits.
As you say if we can find deal great cos I know the 60 would be in the hands of someone who could do it justice.

Now the weathers getting better I was able to photograph my latest creation, an Occidental Harvard with Vetura decals. No really modifcations except I reshaped the cowling as it is too chunky. The decals went on like a dream and I'd like to find another couple of kits to do a 4 Squadron TAF machine and a WWII machine with the big yellow bands but they are impossible to find in this hemisphere. Hope you like it.

Thanks for compliments guys. Andy, keeping the car clean, ah that's easy on days when theres no horses going out. Stable boys have to be employed usefully and we are not allowed to sent them up chimneys anymore. Ah, the landed gentry.

IIRC the A-4 family comes with alternative fin tops and I guess that if the the new issue nose is just a cut and fit that'll be fine. Lets hope thats the case.
Any way it'll be eaier than then the Hasegawa Fujimi kit bash and the modified Monogram two seaters I already have.
